Dr. Stephen Beckerman is a graduate from Washington University in St. Louis. He received his Bachelors Degree in Applied Science in Electrical Engineering. His doctoral work was performed at the State University of N.Y. College of Optometry. Dr. Beckerman completed his fellowship at the Illinois College of Optometry specializing in Low Vision and Pediatrics/Binocular Vision. He is currently an Associate Professor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry teaching in the primary care and pediatrics/binocular vision clinics. With over 20 years as head of the Sports Vision program at the Illinois College of Optometry, and for his involvement with the AAU Junior Olympics Sports Vision Testing Program, Dr. Beckerman has been named Sports Vision Optometrist of the Year by the American Optometric Association. Dr. Beckerman is also in expert in Sports Vision and received the Craig McFarlane Award from Prevent Blindness America for designing the Special Olympics Screening Program.

Dr. Jennifer S. Harthan is a 2006 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). Dr. Harthan grew up in Minnesota and attended Bethel College in St. Paul, where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 2002. Dr. Harthan completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at ICO in July, 2007 and received multiple awards for her clinical work and has lectured frequently at eye-related events throughout the United States. She has had experience working in hospital and private practice settings. Dr. Harthan is also a clinical educator at ICO and lives in Glenview with her husband, Jon.
